A few websites to check out for job searches:
http://jobbank.hrdc-drhc.gc.ca/Intro_eng.aspx - Canada Job Bank, has a student job search feature
www.vancouver.craigslist.org (there is an extensive job postings section, especially for food/beverage/hospitality)
http://jobsearch.monster.ca/Browse.aspx - this is for Vancouver, and has big, intimidating lists of sectors.
If you have ideas about where you'd like to work (Superstore, Save On Foods, Starbucks, McDonald's, Subway, Costco, other big chains....) try the company website. Often there will be job info right on the site!
